It is simply process of tracking money coming in and out of your business. Of course there is a lot more to it, depending on the type of business you do. I am currently trying to perfect my accounting for my resale business. It is a process, and I have actually taken accounting classes, with more to come soon.

In the past I have always been in some form of business management. Each and every business I worked for had different accounting methods, but it was always for the same result. Where is money coming from, and where is money going to? With all of the research, learning, and tracking that you have already completed for your business, now the IRS needs you to choose an accounting method for reporting your income and expenses.

When filing the taxes for your business there are two basic accounting methods, for any other accounting methods, please read publication 538. I am posting the information available in IRS publication 583. Order your publications at the IRS website. If you ever search for the IRS or any government entity, be sure that it is a .GOV site. There are a lot of sites that look like it is authentic, but are scams.

Exert from Publication 583;

Choosing an Accounting Method:

An accounting method is a set of rules used to determine when and how income and expenses are reported. You choose an accounting method for your business when you file your first income tax return. There are two basic accounting methods.

1. Cash method: Under the cash method you report income in the tax year you receive it. You usually deduct or capitalize expenses in the tax year you pay them

2. Accrual Method: Under the accrual method, you generally report income in the tax year you earn it, even though you may receive payment in a later year. You deduct or capitalize expenses in the tax year you incur them, whether or not you pay them that year.

If an inventory is necessary to account for your income, you must generally use an accrual method of accounting for purchases and sales. Inventories include goods held for sale in the normal course of business. They also include raw materials and supplies that will physically become part of merchandise intended for sale.

You must use the same accounting method to figure your taxable income and keep your books. Also, you must use an accounting method that clearly shows your income. In general, any accounting method that consistently uses accounting principles suitable for your trade or business clearly shows your income. An accounting method clearly shows income only if it treats all items of gross income and expense the same from year to year.

More than one business:

When you own more than one business, you can use a different accounting method for each business if the method you use for each clearly shows your income. You must keep a complete separate set of books and records for each business.

Changing your method of accounting:

Once you have set up your accounting method, you must generally get IRS approval before you can change to another method. A change in accounting method not only includes a change in your overall system of accounting, but also a change in the treatment of any material item.

End Exert

Your accounting method is not only important to the IRS, but for your business. Since really starting Weeks Finds, my resale business, I have learned that accounting consists of a lot of different areas. There are purchases from many different places, and costs for almost everything is different even if you buy in bulk. You have to keep track of the cost for each item, set prices for items based on cost, then watch how long an item has been in your possession to see if you need to lower the price. There are also times when I purchase something, then realize it is damaged, I have to account for the loss of that item. I currently have quite a few spread sheets going, but I am trying to get the process streamlined. Once the business gets more profit, I would love to invest in an inventory tracking system or a POS. Something that will allow me to spend more time on the sales end of the business, rather then the accounting end.

This is a topic I will probably be delving into more. I have the publication 538, which is accounting periods, and methods. It has a lot more information on accounting methods available and rules to those methods. It is something I want to learn more about for my home business, and would love to share the knowledge I gain with anyone wanting to learn.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-88749035846885145172023-06-02T20:56:00.005-07:002023-06-02T20:56:42.245-07:00Designating the Tax Year for your small business
This is the third installment on my posts for tax tips from the tax publications. The following is the information that publication 583shares about designating a tax year for your business. From reading it appears that most home businesses, or sole proprietors, will have the calendar tax year, but there are always some exceptions.

Designating a Tax Year

You must figure your taxable income and file an income tax return based on an accounting period called a tax year. A tax year is usually 12 consecutive months. There are two kinds of tax years;

Calendar tax year- A calendar tax year is 12 consecutive months beginning January 1st of each year and then ending December 31st of the same year.

Fiscal tax year- A fiscal tax year is 12 consecutive months ending the last day of any month except December. A 52-53 week tax year is a fiscal tax year that varies from 52-53 weeks but does not have to end on the last day of a month.

If you file your first tax return using the calendar tax year and you later begin business as a sole proprietor, become a partner in a partnership, or become a shareholder in an S corporation, you must continue to use the calendar year unless you get IRS approval to change it or are otherwise allowed to change it without IRS approval.

You must use a calendar tax year if;

You keep no books or records

You have no annual accounting period

Your present tax year does not qualify as a fiscal year

You are required to use a calendar year by a provision of the Internal Revenue Code or the Income Tag Regulations.

If you have never filed an income tax return for your business, you can adopt either a calendar tax year or a fiscal tax year. Although, some partnerships and S corporations must use a particular tax year. See IRS publication 538 for more detailed information on this.

You adopt a tax year by filing your first income tax return using that tax year. You have not adopted a tax year if all you did was one of the following;

Filed an application for an extension of time to file an income tax return

Filed an application for an employer identification number

Paid the estimated taxes for the year

Once you have adopted your tax year you may have to get the IRS to approve a change.

All of these small tax detail will help you succeed in your business. Take the time to educate yourself in all aspects of your business, even if you use a financial advisor, you should still have some business finance education.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-77970206352817437472023-05-31T21:49:00.005-07:002023-05-31T21:49:59.508-07:00Taxpayer Identification Numers for the IRS

This is the beginning of my home business tax tips. All of the information I am sharing in this blog post is coming from the 2021 IRS Publication 583. The majority of the tax information I will be sharing over the next few weeks will be more focused on Sole Proprietorships because that is what the majority of home businesses are. There will be many tips that will also be helpful for other forms of business as well, but my focus is more on the sole proprietorship business.

Sole Proprietorship definition from the IRS publication

A sole proprietorship is a unincorporated business that is owned by one individual. To apply for an EIN online go to irs.gov/businesses/small, then click on the Employer ID numbers link. The EIN will be issues immediately one the application information is validated. You can also mail or fax form SS-4. For international applications you can call 267-941-1099.\

You should apply for an EIN early enough to receive the number by the time you must file a return or statement ot make a tax deposit. If you apply nu mail, file form SS-4 at least four weeks before you need an EIN. If you apply by telephone or through the IRS website, you can get an EIN immediately. If you apply by fax, you can get your EIN within four business days.

If you do not receive your EIN by the time a return is due, file your return anyway. Write "Applied for" and the date you applied for the number in the space for the EIN. Do not use your social security number as a substitute for an EIN on your tax return.

You should only have one EIN for a business entity. If you happen to have more than one and are not sure which one to use, contact the IRS center where you file your return.

This is some of the basics on the tax identification numbers, and information on how to get an EIN if your business requires one. There is more information about understanding your EIN in the IRS publication 1635. I hope me sharing these small bits of information will help you guys see where to begin. Sometimes trying to figure it all it is difficult, that why I am hoping to simplify some of this for anyone that has a home business.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-57158186977456028322023-05-31T20:00:00.003-07:002023-05-31T20:00:13.656-07:00Home Business Tax Help. I have not made enough just yet to justify getting a financial advisor, or tax professional.

Please always remember, I am not a tax professions, YET. It has for a few years, but something caught their attention. This made me curious, so I went back through all of my blog posts on My at Home Income Blog. After reading several of the posts I thought to myself, "Hey Google may be correct!". I was entertained by some of the posts I made simply to attempt to get traffic to sites that I used to write for, and others that had so many links that went to absolutely nowhere because of sites that have shut down. Most of the things I did as a home income in the beginning are not even available now. I went through and deleted a few posts and updated some links, there are probably still a few that are not great on here. Now I would like to share how so many things have changed since 2009 with a home income, writing online, and simple ways of earning a few dollars.

I was very big into writing for a variety of sites when I began this blog. There were quite a few that were very lucrative, but people were taking advantage of it an publishing mediocre work. For those of us who worked hard on their articles, it was devastating to lose so much income. Sites such as Ehow, Associate Content, Firehow, and many others have either changed the way they gather informative articles, or they have shut down completely. I have not been in the writing community for a while, but I am hoping to brush up on sites that allow for individuals to submit work. I do actually have articles on Hubpages, and have made a little money occasionally. I went from making about $1500 a month to not making hardly anything from my writing online. I made a big chunk selling them, but that was quite a few years ago.

Paid Per Click sites that I used are almost all out of business. The ones that are still in business, changed the way they paid or began offering different forms of payment. Unfortunately, Paid Per Click sites were never very lucrative, but it did help me pay a few bills or purchase some food through the years. It probably would not do that now. I am sure most would cost more in utilities to use then they pay.

So what sites are still paying after all of these years? There is only one site that I found in my late articles that still pays me, and I use it quite a bit. That site is Inboxdollars. I have used earnings from Inbox every Christmas for at least the last five years. It may only be $50 or so, but it is money earned in simple ways without much effort. It is not an income really, but a part of my Christmas savings plan. I use it in addition to a few receipt sites that I gain earnings on through the year. It has given me a total of about $500 the last two years to purchase Christmas gifts for my kids.

So, what now? Well in my previous post, Weeks Finds will be Official, you can read about finally opening up an Ebay store. The profits on the store has allowed me to profit a few hundred a month. Not a life changing amount, but enough to get by for now. Unfortunately i cannot work like I used to, actually not much at all. I enjoy doing the resell because it is something I can do on good days, and I can take breaks when needed. I am hoping to get my Notary License in the next week or so, which I can make a few dollars from home with that. Finally, I am returning to school to get my bachelors in Finance. I would also start to write more again. I may look into sites that pay for content, or I may just use this blog and my other blog Saving Money and Home Finances to publish writings that I enjoy.

We will see where this all leads. Hopefully I can share more of my successes in the near future. With each avenue I take I hope and Pray for success and do the same for each of you.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-44493027927342975802023-05-21T17:26:00.003-07:002023-05-21T17:26:39.297-07:00Weeks Finds will be Offical

I have been going back and forth on a business name. Weeks Finds has been the one that fits. It will be a business focusing on resale of items that we find through bulk buys, second hand stores, thrift shopping, yard sales, and any other methods that we can find items. This will be a home bases resale business based around discount products that we can find.

The business name, Weeks Finds, will be official soon. I put in for the DBA (Doing Business as) today and will get any licenses that I need in the next few weeks. In Arkansas, I should only need a resale license and the DBA. When you are starting any home business, be sure that you do research on the laws in your area. Not just for your state, but also city and county business laws.

What is Next for Weeks Finds?

As of right now I have purchased several bulk wholesale lots for resale. I am averaging at about 15-20% profit on those. The resale lot I have purchased are smaller boxes. There is a much bigger profit margins on larger lots, but there is also a much bigger chance of damaged products. So there is a chance of a greater loss.

There has been several items we purchased from second hand stores and resale stores. So far I have not made a huge profit on everything in all, but I have made a big profit on a few items. One item that my Mom picked out was purchased for $2, I sold it the next day on our Etsy shop for $20. If I can continue that pattern the business would grown exponentially.

Recently I made a trip to to acquire a huge lot of items from a deceased friend. These items were things that were either going to be donated, or trashed. So I took them under consignment. Some items may not sell, but in all it will be a profit for myself and the spouse. We agreed upon 50% of the profit split after all of the fees. In about a month, just the consignment, has profited over $300. Now, as of right now, that is the majority of my profit, but it is pushing my business forward.

Open for Business!!

Weeks Finds is open for business on Ebay! We have a lot of items from movies, apparel, Elvis collectibles, vintage and more. This will be the main place for sales for our business. For items that I cannot sell online, I will sell at discounts through yard sales or Marketplace.

Next, I will be putting together a plan to purchase more items. I have been considering starting to offer services to family members of deceased loved ones. Offer to help clean houses and find items the items of value to sell for them under consignment. It is just a thought in my head with many more, but I have a lot of empathy for people that have lost family members and feel that I could help them.

Who knows where this will take my family. This business is finally giving me a big chance to work from home and be with my kids. They have been loving that their mom is home now. I do not have to leave them for 10-15 hours a day, sometimes seven days a week. This has still been work, and some struggles, but they are there most of the time. I am always available for them when I am needed, no matter what.

Please check out our shop and let us know what you think.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-78522768456081359962023-01-01T17:46:00.002-08:002023-01-01T17:46:29.050-08:002023 Starting off with a Profit! So when I made a sale on my Etsy shop, WeeksFinds, today. I was excited. It is the small things in life that push me forward.

OK, I am excited about making a sale on the first day of 2023 The sale was only $9 for a couple of V nickels that I listed a few months ago. I am taking this day, and this sale as a positive step. I have a rejuvenation about growing this business. It has been something I have worked on for a while and it is finally coming together. I have a trip to New Orleans coming up this weekend, so Monday is going to be a new life for the business. I mean there will be a schedule put in place that I can adjust if needed. I am also going to put together a business plan fort myself. I am a goal oriented person, and I need a visual of what I am working for.

I hope and pray that everyone that reads this posts finds peace and happiness in 2023. I do not mean that we will get everything that we need, I mean that we can find the positive in everything that we do. Staying positive will help us all succeed in our home businesses and our lives.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-72439216285459993032022-12-30T20:08:00.001-08:002022-12-30T20:08:12.934-08:00Weeks Finds on Etsy

I have had a shop on Etsy for a while. The Etsy shop is Weeks Finds. Up until recently, I have sold mostly vintage or antique items. I have been researching many other options, I have moved to a Arkansas and hve seven acres of natural woods. I have also received a lot of new "toys" that are great for wood working. So I am about to expand on more of the natural items, and reclaim items around the property to make new.

I am going to begin the new direction for Weeks Finds when 2023 begins. My first project I am going to work on is some reclaimed logs I have from my home. I had to have siding installed on my log home, unfortunately it was much more cost effective, I saved a lot of the logs from areas that they were cut off. I now have a jig saw to do intricate pieces. To learn how to make better wood pieces I am going to start with cutting eggs out of the log and using wood burning for decoration, or just stain for decorating. I have so many more wood working ideas

In addition to the woodworking, I am going to be offering fresh and dried shrubbery items for crafting. Items such as dried pine needles, pine cones, and branches with pine needles and cones still attached. I have actually sold dried pine needles in the past, and it was fairly profitable. It took me a little longer then just grabbing pine needles though, I actually went through making sure they were in tact and would be perfect for any craft.

I have many other ideas swarming through my brain, but this is where I am hoping to begin. Expanding my Etsy shop, Ebay shop, and Marketplace sales will expand a lot of my home business. Each year I get closer to my goals, but something always keeps me from believing that I can make enough online to stay home and work. I know it can be done, but now it is time to prove it to myself. Thank you to everyone that reads my blog. This is also going to be a focus for me as well.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-32212378227757056612022-11-28T18:54:00.005-08:002022-11-28T18:54:54.800-08:00Home Business Progress

In the last few months I have opened up different opportunities to my home business. I am trying to have multiple income streams to help supplement my income, and give a steady income stream. I do everything from online sales, buying and selling stock, investing and DoorDash. Each provides a small income that helps my kids and I.

I have finally gotten a temporary spot set up for my online sales business. Weeks Finds is the name I am currently using for both Ebay and Etsy. I only have a few things online right now, but working on more. Unfortunately, due to some health issues I cannot work on it as much as I would like.

I have visited a couple of second hand stores and flea markets in the area, but they have prices that you would pay online for them. I am going to continue to look, because I have found some great deals at these types of places in the past. I am also planning on visiting more yard sales soon.

Before I purchase a huge inventory, I am doing research. In order to make a real business succeed, you have to know your market. I love doing furniture and things like that, but the shipping rates for some of the are astounding. To keep shipping costs down I am also using Facebook Marketplace to sell. Weeks Finds is trying to expand to numerous different outlets so that we can make the most out of what is available.

Other than doing online sales, I am pushing more into other options. I have invested in different stocks, apps like Landa, Fundrise and Atlas Earth. Most of what I am currently doing will not get me rich but it will provide a small income each month.

Finally, I am doing DoorDash on occasion. Since I live in a very small town, the options for DoorDash or other delivery services is very small. I have to drive about 20 miles to be able to make any money doing deliveries. I try to make it work so that I can do deliveries when I go pick up groceries a couple of times a month.

I am trying to diversify my income. Due to health issues I am currently trying to get disability. So I am hoping to make enough to cover what disability will not cover. Or, in the worst case, pay my bills if disability is denied.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-1665594355128415362022-07-04T20:44:00.003-07:002022-07-04T20:44:45.980-07:00Finally getting a real home office together

We recently moved to Arkansas, to a much bigger home. Read more about this on my two other blog posts; Moving from Colorado to Arkansas, and How we went from a 600 to a 2200 sq foot house. It has been a long process with taking more than five 15 hour trips back and forth and now trying to do some home repairs ourselves. The stress has been real! Now we have gotten a lot of stuff somewhat lined up, next will be my office.

We are taking a three week vacation starting next week, follow the Horror Movie site trip here, Once we return from the trip, it is time to get my home business off its feet like I have been trying to do for years. I will be doing online sales of items like antiques and coins. As well as refurbishing some small items like lamps and possibly furniture. This business will be in addition to the stock trading and online writing.

The first step is setting up an actual home office. I will be using a camper for this. It is the camper I have lived in for the last seven years, but I am remodeling it specifically for a home office. I also received a huge storage shed with the home I purchased, so I will be setting up a work area and storage area for products I am working on or that I have listed on sites such as Ebay and Etsy.

Being a work at home mom is something I have strived for for a long time. I finally have it in my grasp after working many 70 hour weeks over the last 11 years. I am done working for other people. This is due to trying to raise my children with me around, as well as some medical issues that I have that prevent me from working on my feet tat long ever again.

To all of those women or men that are working hard in their life, do not be afraid to change or work hard for what you want in life. Their will always be set backs and hurdles to cross. Use those as growing and learning experiences.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-73832704408162226342022-03-26T15:24:00.001-07:002022-03-26T15:24:18.632-07:00 How to Organize a Successful Home Business

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">For all of us that are trying to run
an at home business, it can be difficult to get the office organized. I have thrown together a
few helpful things that I have done in my home office to get it organized. An at home business
can be ran successfully and in an organized way, just keep working at it.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Keep your work space completely
separate from the rest of your home. Whether it be a separate room, or even a small corner
of a room. Some people even use a closet for their home office. In order for you to stay organized and be successful, this office area has to be separate. It can also be used as a home business tax deduction as long as that portion of your home is separate. Tax Deductions you may be able to use for a direct sales business or home business.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";"> Keep your work time and your home time separate. you are doing at that specific time, not worrying about the other things going on in your life.

have to be organized. The first thing you need is a organizer. Shop around and

I started really enjoying writing. I would create articles on a variety of topics and it gave me a kind of piece in my life. In addition I started getting a decent following. At one point in 2011 I was making about $1200 a month. Then I had a son, became a single mom, and moved three states away with my family. At that point I had to find employment that had a regular income, so my writing went on the back burner. I even sold several hundred articles for a decent amount of money.

Now that I have finally gotten money put up, and will be moving soon, I have started writing again. I am only editing a few of my old articles, but I will be putting up more content soon. I will also be finding other platforms to submit my work to. Please have a look at some of my work on Hubpages. If you know of any great writing forms please comment and let me know.

One thing I have learned through the years of not writing is that I should have kept doing it, because I enjoy it. I let life take over something that I enjoy, but hopefully now that we are doing ok financially I can grow my writing portfolio and my home business.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-78561715369656444922022-03-15T19:19:00.004-07:002022-03-18T17:59:37.859-07:00Getting Everything together Finally; Home Business

Well since my post, 2022 Is Finally the Year to Start my Home Business, there has been some changes to the plan with my home income and my future. We will be moving soon! I will take time off to spend time with my family and really start my home business, and probably so much more.

To begin with we will be signing on the new house in Arkansas next week. It has been a process and a few trips to Arkansas. All of the work has paid off though. We found a wonderful 2200 square foot home on five acres for only $180000. The house is beautiful and does not need much work on it at all. It also has a great area that I will be putting a couple of small buildings for the kids to have areas for themselves and I will be getting a building to put my home office.

My income options has changes some too. I have decided to sell my current home. I learned that I can profit over $100000 on my home. Once I learned that I knew I had to sell. That will give me enough money to take a wonderful road trip with my kids and my mom. This trip will also give me the ability to work on our families website, The Traveling Family Adventures, I am truly hoping this will give my family an opportunity to grow closer and create a larger income from the blog.

So hopefully in the next couple of months I am hoping i can share more experiences and tips that I learn. I am a single mom of two amazing kids, I have a degree in business, and I am going to finally take advantage of both. I will use my degree to expand my home business and I will be able to spend more time with my young kids before they grow up and Mommy is not as important.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-33979854305382306712022-01-12T17:02:00.000-08:002022-01-12T17:05:27.453-08:00Getting More Involved in Crypto with CryptoTab

I have been buying and selling Cryptocurrencies for a while on Webull. In 2021 I made approximately $5000 from the buying and selling of Cryptos like Shiba Inu, Doge Coin and XLM. That is small compared to what a lot of people make through Crypto trading, but I am proud of that accomplishment. I have the motto of every penny matters! Since I have been dabbling in Crypto for the last year, I decided 2022 is a good year to really get involved. I am planning on it being a big part of my home income once we move to Arkansas. With that being said I have been looking into ways to earn Cryptos through cloud mining. One thing I found is CryptoTab.

CryptoTab is a browser that you can earn Bitcoin and it allows you to do cloud mining of Bitcoin. I just joined the site yesterday, but I am trying to learn as much as I can to maximize my earnings. At first I just used my phone and was earning 300 H/s. That was just basic with no effort. Compared to another cloud mining ap, where I make 5gh/s, it is a huge increase. I like free money of any kind.

After researching CryptoTab I learned that you have to activate the mining every 2 hours or it stops running and if you want to invest money you can earn more. So as an experiment I invested $151 for a boost. Now on my phone I am mining over 3000 H/s.

Next I learned that you can use CryptoTab on your PC. So while I am writing this I am mining 3200 H/s from my phone and 900 H/s from my laptop. I do not know a whole lot about cloud mining yet, but I think it is a fairly good start. You can earn more with referrals but I have not gotten any as of yet, so we will see what comes of that. Hopefully one of my lovely readers will join under me so I can test it out.

This post does have referral links to other sites.

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-40753754775227838432021-11-19T22:28:00.000-08:002021-11-19T22:28:04.082-08:002022 Is Finally the Year to Start my Home Business

I have not updated this blog much due to the fact that I have not been able to focus on my home business. I do some small things that help me earn a couple hundred dollars a month, but it has not been a true work from home experience, but it soon will be.

In the last 10 years I have been focused on getting my finances in order and raising my kids.In doing that I was working more than 50 hours a week and sometimes I would go months without a day off. This has prevented me from having focus on my home business. I have promised my kids that this is going to change at the beginning of 2022.

Moving

We are currently looking for property in Arkansas to buy. The prices there are very good for real estate, and we can have land to garden and build things on our own. It is taking some planning to make this happen, but it is finally showing real hope that it will happen.

Colorado

I currently own my home in Colorado. It is a small A-Framed home on a little less than an acre. I purchased the home five years ago for $84000. In the last few years the cost of living has went up dramatically, so now my home is worth close to $200000. I have been in the air about what to do with my house, but I finally found a great lender to help with a lot of question. So I decided on a refinance.

Refinance

Mortgage rates are at historic lows right now, so I took advantage of that. I refinance the home and was able to pay off $25000 in credit card debt, a $30000 truck and put up $22000 for a down payment on a home in Arkansas. In doing a refinance I came out very well. I actually only added $300 a month to my mortgage, added two years of payments, but got out of debt completely other than my home.

Getting a Plan Together

Now that I have the refinance complete I am able to plan out the move and the beginning of my home business. The fist thing I am going to do is make some repairs on my home, then use it as a vacation rental. The home is located close to fishing, hiking, and has a view of Pikes Peak from the yard. Rentals for the area for this size home have an average rate of about $1500. That means an income of about $700 a month less fees.

In addition to the real estate income on the home I am looking at properties in Arkansas that are large enough to set up a couple of small camping vacation rentals. Two for sure, but possibly more depending on the land. That gives me an additional potential monthly income of roughly $1500.

That would give me a monthly income of about $2200 less some fees, so I am giving myself a rough estimate of $1500. That will not be enough to cover everything and I want to continue to save money for my kids future. I do not want to go back to living well below poverty. So I am putting a business plan together for a sales and production business for my family and I. This will include a website for antiques and collectibles as well as hand made items that we will all make. There has been thoughts of opening booths at flea markets or farmers markets. We also plan on growing a lot of food, so that is also an option to sell.

There are many options that are out there, and I am putting a complete plan together to start my home business with my family and have it be very profitable. Other employment options are still on the table, but I have promised my kids that I will only work part time and will never give my life to a company like I have done for the last 10 years. I am grateful for my job but I have to do this for my family. As a single mom, my kids need me more that my job does.

I am doing it all for my family, FINALLY!

Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-66818809284209054372020-11-11T22:42:00.002-08:002021-03-31T22:01:55.876-07:00Still Earning Money off of Ehow Blog after 10 years
I was analyzing my income sources today and saw that I am still getting views and earning from the blog, my Ehow Blog. I have gotten a couple of chapters to my expectations and working on more. Ebooks are a true process and do take work if you are wanting to produce quality work. In addition to writing the ebook I am working online, going to school full time, and I am a full time single mom. I am happy with the progress I have made, and will be putting more time into it next week. I hope to have it completed in by the end of February. I have to say that this has been a really hectic week for me. I have started classes, and I am trying to get them in order so that I can be more productive with everything. I take three online courses, and one class on campus. I was thinking that it may be a little easier with the online courses, but I think I was wrong.

The thing with online courses is that you have to learn all of the software, read your texts, see if there is any hidden activities on the site, and still get everything completed on time. I finished everything for each class, and even got ahead a little.

With my online classes I have not been working as hard this week online as I should have been. I wrote about 5-8 articles, kept Squidoo updated, and did some other small things that I do online to make a few cents here and there. Starting tomorrow I am focusing more on getting everything scheduled. I need to make sure I get everything completed with my classes as well as work hard to make some money.

I am still not working, and will be seeing a surgeon in two weeks. I am hoping that I can get this doctor to rush a little. Since I am the person that is responsible for my son, I have to figure out something. I have rent paid for this month, but next month will be here before I know it. I have to figure it out. This is a stressful time, but school and my online income are very important, and I have to get everything accomplished.

I am scared about it all. Life has thrown few curve balls the last few weeks, but I know God will show me the way. I cannot sit here and worry about everything, even though I would love to hide under a rock. I would love to not have anything to worry about financially for a few months, but that is not going to happen. If I would play the lottery it could happen, but I have to actually leave the house to do that.

If anyone has any tips that they could share, please do. I am looking for part time positions to do from home, seeking help with rent for next month if I cannot pay it, or help with utilities. No, I am not asking for any help, I am asking for someone to guide me in the direction that I need to go for help.

Maybe I can just write my butt of for the next month, do you think it could give me $1300? LOL. I will work on it all. My boy, nieces, and nephew are worth it.Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-56153201863573231972012-08-26T21:12:00.003-07:002012-08-26T21:13:35.336-07:00Classes Start Tomorrow

Tomorrow I will start going back to school full time for business management. It is a very exciting and scarey step for me. Two of the first classes I will be taking is English and Writing. These will help me a lot in my future career path, but I think it will help me more with my online writing career.

I took a moment last night to go back and read a few of my first articles. I was truly upset at some of the grammatical errors that I had made. I think my interest and writing skills have increased dramatically since I started writing online almost three years ago. With these courses I am hoping that my writing skills will continue to increase.

I am hoping that I can continue to increase my online earnings, spend time with my son, go to school full time, and hopefully only have to work part time. This is a very big step for me, and I am hoping I will have the will to accomplish all of my goals for my son.
As of yesterday my online income is my only income. I was terminated from my job due to an injury I had at home. I would have been there for a year on the 30th, which would have given me FMLA. I am presuming that was the reasoning behind it anyway. I can not worry about why, I just have to worry about how I can improve my home income.

I am now focusing on promoting and contributing as much as I can, even though I am in a lot of pain from my injury. I have got to make sure I can take care of my son. Squidoo has been a big focus of mine, and I have to say I can see it paying off on the next payday. I have been reaching my goal of submitting articles everyday to each of my sites. Even if it is only one, I submit every day.

Now that I have more time I will be submitting a lot more. My goals for September is to write 100 Firehow articles, submit 40 lenses, and at least 40 Yahoo articles for upfront submission. I have one month to start earning more of an income online. I have to be able to help my son, he is the most important person in my life.Nonar2011http://www.blogger.com/profile/16355619813800695853noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2872752591093568612.post-9355187621800743372012-08-17T10:29:00.001-07:002023-05-21T18:33:36.859-07:00Happy with my Home Income ProgressThe last couple of weeks have been showing great progress with my home income. My online income has been increasing and the views on my pages have been consistently increasing. Some days I am just impressed with how much the increase is. I am hoping that the income starts picking up just as much as the views from some sites.

My home income has been progressing too. I haven's started to make much of an income, but I have been working on recipes and other things. I made my first perfect batch of pepper jelly yesterday, and will be starting to work on other recipes to sell at the farmers market next year. I want to be sure that the recipes are perfect before I try to sell them. I would never sell anything that was below perfection.

I have also started collecting baskets to start selling gift baskets. The gift baskets are in the beginning stages, but I have a few good ideas to work with. I just want to be sure to make a profit on everything that I start. I am working on making a life for my son and I, so everything I do on line and off is extremely important to me.
Most of my readers know that my dream is to become a work at home single mom. I am working hard to accomplish this dream. I have been putting in a lot of extra time when I can to update blogs, write articles, submit Lenses, do surveys, and sell items on Ebay. I have to say it is taking a lot out of me, but I know that this is what has to be done to reach my dreams of becoming a work at home single mom.

What I am doing to reach my goal:

Completing Surveys on Mysurvey

Doing searches for Mypoints and Inboxdollars

Submitting more upfront articles for Yahoo

My other new project is selling items at the local Farmers Market. I made my first batch of Jalapeno Pepper Jelly today, and will be trying it to make sure it tastes as good as it should. Tomorrow I will be making Spicy Honey Mustard. Some other things I will be making may be; homemade crackers, peanut brittle, preserves, salsa and tortilla chips. I will not start selling at the farmers market until next Summer, but I want to perfect my recipes and get my ServSafe certification again. I am ready for my next big step in becoming a work at home single mom. All of the things I am trying to do will help me be with my son more, and I am excited as well as motivated. Life is going to get better, God will show me the way to make it all work.

I am hoping I will be able to share my success story with becoming a work at home single mom in a few month. This is a process, and I have to keep up my momentum for success. My son is the most important thing in the world for me. His dad is not involved with him, and pays nothing. I am his sole provider, and I need to reach this goal for him and I both. Thank you everyone for continuing to read and the support.
These are my top earning sites and they are my favorite sites to write on, so they get most of my attention. In the last couple of weeks I have committed more time to each site, and the page views are consistently increasing. Compared to a month ago all three sites have almost doubled in average views. I am very happy with my accomplishments this month. Now I have to continually increase my page views, which will take more motivation. I feel like I can reach my goals of being a work at home single mom, I just have to continue with my hard work.

I am off of work for the next couple of days, so I have to put in as much effort during these days as I can without sacrificing time with my son. I have been reading single mom success stories about working from home, and I know that I can make it happen.
Yahoo is definitely my top earner at the moment because of up front payments, but Squidoo is becoming a great earning site. I have found that even if I do not make much on the site I can still promote my other articles. I think that it has been the biggest influence on my page views for other sites. I read one motivation lens that shared a moms Squidoo earnings. It stated that she is making more than $200 a month. This was a big influence for me, so we will see where all of my earnings go, hopefully they continue to grow.
Thank you for reading!
On my days off I put in about 3-4 hours, but I have not had many of those lately. Even though I have not been able to put in a lot of time, I am sure to work hard when i can. I have been reaching my goals, and even passing them in areas.

Since I have been really committing myself to my work, I have dramatically increased my income. This week alone I have made over $100 from a few different sources. Before I was not even hitting $100 a month at times.

I am not going to quit my job just yet, but I do see that I will be able to make my goal to be able to work from home. I am hoping that I can do it by the end of the year. My first semester of school will be basic courses, but the second one will be a lot harder. I am so motivated at the moment. I will be able to work from home soon, and spend more time with my son.
